Breyerfest 2k17

Breyerfest 2017 has now come and gone...
Emma and her mom picked up my mom and I and we carpooled up with them, special thanks to Amy for driving over 1,700 miles to get us there and back safely!!

It was only my second year going, but it was 10x better than last year. I met so many awesome people,
I made friends, both two and four legged.. ;)
Becky wasn't able to come, or was she?
Next year Becky!!!

Emma and I only made it to the Instagram meet for about the last 15 minutes, for some reason we both had the wrong time in our minds!

The man behind the meet! Huge thanks to Vincent and Elyse for hosting it!
Also got to hang out with Erika a little bit, easily one of my favorite people at Breyerfest!

Smiley tattoo courtesy of Erika 😂
MyFroggyStuff! I've always loved her videos, I met her last year so I had to make sure to get a picture this year.

Pretty sure this guy was my favorite performer, he really upped his game since last year!

The horses in the Best Customs contest were amazing!!

I made it over to the open show for a few minutes, there were some pretty amazing entries, I'm definitely considering showing there in a year or two.

Breyerfest 2017 was a blast,  thank you to everyone who made it special!!

The International Museum Of The Horse

Hi all! When we were at the KHP for Breyerfest we had the chance to go into the Museum Of The Horse. Unfortunently we only had about an hour, and I could have stayed all day. Here's some photos from the parts we visited.

First was the Arabian section. The entire museum is truly amazing and everything was so detailed and interactive. It started with some life-sized carvings of Arabian mares.

They were super realistic and it was like at any minute they would prance off! She does kinda remind me of a certain Proud Arabian though... ;)

The human handlers and the tack were very nice too.

Another nice set! The foal was so cute! The handler was creepy in this one though.

So adorable!

Up next was a case of hand carved wooden horses. They were about traditional scale.

This made the collector in me squee, especially with the tack! My favorite was probably the black overo, though.

There were a few larger ones (think Camilla size) in separate cases, but I only managed to get a photo of this one.

The last case of miniatures was this one. So cool!

My mom was trying to figure out what type of horse this was... xD

Another super cool area was the trophy area. There were so many trophies and plates!

So shiny!

There was also the skeleton of the famous racehorse Lexington. It was actually really cool! I've never seen a real horse skeleton so it was very interesting. Maybe a bit morbid... But I didn't mind.

Last but certainly not least was Secratariat's display. This gave me chills, and it included his tack, his silks, and some of his awards.

Overall the International Museum Of The Horse is a must see for horse fans. Like I said we only got through a tiny portion of the museum before having to leave. We didn't get to go in the Saddlebred museum either. Next time I am in KY I plan to spend more time there! :D

Breyerfest Bounty

Breyerfest was such a great experience, not only because of the people, but the models as well!
So here's a post on my models that I got.

First off all of my Special Run horses, I only had two tickets but managed to get all the models I wanted.

I was quite pleased with my surprise horses, I got the dun the first day, and the second day they were sold out, but thanks to an awesome girl I met at the Clarion I was able to trade for the black!

The roans were commissions that I picked up at the Clarion, but the bay Ruffian is a custom that I've been chasing for years, and finally got to buy her!!

As soon as I got home I tacked her up, can't wait to show her in performance!
Huge thanks to my Instagram friend Erika for selling her to me ♥

Also got quite a few stablemates, most of the customs were just commissions I picked up,
and got a bag full of bodies to paint!

Two peter stone purchases, they were arranged before breyerfest, I'm really happy with both of them!

This was the only resin I bought, but it was another custom that I have been chasing for a while but was never able to get it until finally found it in my Instagram friends room at the clarion! He's painted by Taylor Ouzts.

Of course being a performance shower I had to tack up as many of the horses as I could!
Mamacita makes a cute English pony.

This guy is going to be fun to show, he's so pretty!

This girl has a lot of flaws so I'm still not sure if I'll show her,
but she just looks so cute in English tack!

My SR Shelia, who I've named Fire and Gasoline looks great under saddle,
with better tack she's going to kill it in reining!

The Esprit mold is not liked by a lot of collectors, and I thought I wouldn't like him but he is really growing on me. I can't wait to see what all I can use him for in performance, I'll have to get creative!

Bozeman, who I've named Just Sayin is another SR that I'm really pleased with, breyer did a great job on his color, and mine is flawless.

Last but not least, this guy was a commission, but I feel like he deserves his own picture,
Taylor Ouzts painted him, and I couldn't be more pleased.
His details are just so awesome, he is easily one of my favorites!

Hope y'all enjoyed this post, I know it was fun to write!
